This license-free cruise begins on Lake Müritz and winds through calm waters into the Mecklenburg Little Lake District. Passing by boathouses, the route heads toward Mirow. Here, a stroll across the Schlossinsel Mirow (castle island) is highly recommended. After passing through the Diemitz Lock, you’ll encounter lakes teeming with fish that are perfect for fishing and anchoring, while white-tailed eagles circle overhead.
At Ellbogensee, the route joins the Obere-Havel-Wasserstraße. In Wesenberg, it’s worth taking a break to enjoy regional specialties and the view of the lake landscape from the castle tower. The route continues across Lake Woblitz and along the Kammer Canal to Neustrelitz. This Baroque royal seat impresses with its palace gardens and historic buildings.
